ICEG and ARIC had a meeting online

“We’ve been very willing to have a meeting with you online to talk over all the issues relevant for your Association in these hard times. We’ve assessed an opportunity to invite representatives of our member companies to this meeting to hear directly about your needs and offer our expertise,” said Dinu Popescu, vice president of the Romanian Association of Consulting Engineers (ARIC).

The meeting was held last week and attended by the ICEG board and staff members.

Answering questions about ICEG’s involvement in improving the legislation on survey and rehabilitation of facilities destroyed by the war, ICEG president Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy told about active participation of our experts in reform support teams, public councils at the central executive branch agencies, and task forces, while vice president Svitlana Reva mentioned establishment of the National Council for Ukraine Recovery.

On its part, ARIC confirmed it has experts who worked with the aftermath of natural disasters or in former Yugoslavia countries and can share their experience. Cosmin Tobolcea, ARIC vice president, said that in the border area, the government and local people provide lots of support to Ukrainians arriving in Romania, while Aquaproject company representative expressed support and readiness of Romanian companies to take part in Ukraine recovery.

Let us remember that ICEG and ARIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Bucharest back in 2016.
