The fall conference of the American Council of Engineering Companies has begun

As we reported yesterday, the fall conference of the American Council of Engineering Companies began in Las Vegas (USA), with a delegation of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild taking part in it.

Manish Kothari, 2017-2018 ACEC President, opened the ACEC Fall Conference. He is also President at Sheladia Associates, Inc.

In particular, he stated

“This year, numerous disasters devastated California and nearly $3 billion were allocated for recovery operations, as well as we used these funds in 2017 to restore the facilities ruined by disasters.

In the meantime, we are going to struggle and develop the industry for the future and we will grow stronger. On top of that, we must keep in mind diversification and inclusiveness.

Manish Kothari noted that ACEC and the engineering community have to get practical solutions across to future generations”.

Linda Bauer Darr, newly elected ACEC President, also spoke at the ceremonial speech:

I am empowered to promote the engineering industry as a whole in the first place with my colleagues by my side.

Speaking of flexibility, every engineer needs an accurate plan, for which we have a set of accurate tools.

We are pursuing tax reform. We continue practicing Qualifications Based Selection (QBS). This year, we have interesting challenges in organizing procurement in a broad manner.

The services we offer are, for example, over 200 webinars, we consider it basic to keep you informed on current events and news. At the same time, we have not been resting on our oars as we devise a new strategic plan.

The Association has huge potential.

I feel that I am on the right track as I constantly test all processes.

This is the way I see the ACEC.

We will work hard to increase the value and influence of the Association, to enhance the set of tools to make the industry successful as a whole.

We are going to keep improving diversification and inclusiveness as well.

I want the profession treated with respect so nobody could make fun of it. Our organization should have a strong lobby both in the country and overseas. I would like to thank everyone here today for investing in our industry!”

We offer you a small conference photo spread.
