The theme of this year\u2019s event was <strong>Smart Infrastructure: Equality, Resilience and Innovation for a Sustainable World<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference gathered approximately 500 participants from over 60 countries, including leading engineers, experts, representatives of governments, international financial institutions, and technology companies. More details about the event are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/events.fidic.org\/gic25\/7727784\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/events.fidic.org\/gic25\/7727784<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Delegation of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild (ICEG) was led by its President, Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy. Updates on the event were promptly shared on our <a href=\"https:\/\/iceg.com.ua\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Key issues of the conference included artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization, and climate responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions focused on the integration of AI into infrastructure projects. The participants analyzed how digital tools help enhance planning, optimize costs, and improve the resilience of engineering solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The role of engineers amid global instability was in the spotlight, particularly in the context of geopolitical conflicts, climate disasters, migration challenges, and destruction of critical infrastructure. It was emphasized that modern engineers must be not only technical experts but also strategic partners in shaping sustainable policies that prioritize inclusivity, long-term development, and ethical leadership.<\/p>\n<p>On the sidelines of the conference, the ICEG delegation was actively involved in international dialogue. Three significant memorandums of understanding were signed with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA), a voluntary professional organization uniting over 580 companies with approximately 19,000 professionals.<\/li>\n<li>Association of Consulting Engineers Botswana (ACEB), a national body supporting the development of professional engineering in the region.<\/li>\n<li>Federation of Swedish Innovation Companies (Innovationsf\u00f6retagen), representing around 850 member firms in the science-intensive services sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Inter alia, these agreements pave the way for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of joint infrastructure projects.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing of expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in international training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing the quality of engineering consulting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A number of meetings was also held to establish cooperation with partners from Canada, the USA, Nepal, Pakistan, Kenya, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Dominican Republic, and others.<\/strong> Informal discussions with representatives of relevant ministries explored opportunities for partnership, joint project implementation, and knowledge sharing in engineering consulting and infrastructure development.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe FIDIC Conference 2025 became a powerful platform for discussing key global challenges in infrastructure sector. Integration of innovations, strengthening resilience, fostering ethical leadership, and international collaboration are the areas that will shape the future of the engineering industry in the coming decade. Ukraine\u2019s participation in such a prestigious event once again underscores the active role of our engineering community in the global professional dialogue.
