{"id":11202,"date":"2025-11-21T18:37:20","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iceg.com.ua\/?p=11202"},"modified":"2025-11-25T15:38:44","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T13:38:44","slug":"press-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iceg.com.ua\/en\/news-en\/press-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Press Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Consulting engineer as efficient corruption barrier: ICEG discusses transparent reconstruction of Ukraine in Kyiv<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kyiv hosted a strategic meeting of leaders, members, and partners of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild (ICEG), which was dedicated to the consulting engineer\u2019s role in rebuilding Ukraine and prevention of corruption risks.<\/p>\n<p>The event gathered representatives if the international engineering community, authorities, parliament, and leading experts of the industry. The participants heard a welcome address from Alfredo Ingletti, President of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), which confirmed a high level of international support to Ukraine and interest in fostering the cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by:<br \/>\nAlfredo Ingletti (FIDIC),<br \/>\nNataliia Kozlovska (Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine),<br \/>\nHanna Bondar (People\u2019s Deputy of Ukraine),<br \/>\nleading engineers, researchers, and representatives of engineering companies.<\/p>\n<p>According to the participants, it is the independent consulting engineer that is a key tool to transparency in rebuilding this country.<\/p>\n<p>In the course of the event, the scales of reconstruction needs were mentioned:<br \/>\nhousing \u2014 close USD 84 billion,<br \/>\ntransport \u2014 nearly USD 78 billion,<br \/>\nenergy \u2014 almost USD 68 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Consulting engineers ensure monitoring that FIDIC and ISO standards are met, while introduction of BIM technologies allows saving up to 20% of the budget and mitigate project risks.<\/p>\n<p>Adam Bialachowski, FIDIC Vice President, underscored that <strong>\u201cToday, the consulting engineer is a profession based on independence, transparency, and accountability for public investment.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nSumming up the meeting, ICEG underscored continued implementation of international standards and development of the national system of independent engineer\u2019s oversight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cReconstruction of Ukraine should be based not only on funds but first of all on trust.
