Svitlana Reva, Vice President of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, and Yevhenii Vladimirov, ICEG\u2019s Executive Director, took part in the event called \u201cHow to pass an inspection by the State Audit Service: procurement and Ukraine Facility,\u201d which was organized by the EU Anticorruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, State Audit Service of Ukraine, and School Nutrition Reform Team.<\/p>\n

This meeting touched upon practical issues of organizing the procurements, undergoing inspections of the State Audit Service, and project implementation within the Ukraine Facility.<\/p>\n

During the discussion, ICEG\u2019s representatives emphasized the importance of involving a consulting engineer in the preparation, support, and implementation of projects. This is especially relevant in cases when communities or other clients lack technical, managerial, or procedural competence of their own.<\/p>\n

The consulting engineer can support the client professionally at all stages: from planning through technical documentation development and organization of procurements to quality assurance, risk management, and proper work delivery. Such approach allows improving the work quality on the site, minimize process errors, and ensure transparent and more efficient use of funds.<\/p>\n

ICEG\u2019s leaders also spoke with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science about the institute of consulting engineer and opportunities for lawful engagement of these experts in construction and reconstruction in accordance with the national legislation.<\/p>\n

ICEG is going to keep working hard to promote the consulting engineering services in Ukraine and facilitate introduction of modern approaches to the preparation, administration, and delivery of infrastructural and other projects important to the society.<\/p>\n
