As part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdansk, Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, President of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, had a number of meetings with representatives of Italian governmental, business, and professional circles. The meetings focused on the practical participation of Italian companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The meetings, held with the participation of Marco Ragusa, Director for International Affairs at OICE Confindustria<\/a>, which unites Italian engineering, architectural, and consulting companies, included discussions with representatives of more than ten Italian engineering firms. The meetings were also joined by Michele Amerio, Partner and Technical Director of 3TI Progetti S.p.A.,<\/a> who heads the Ukraine support working group and actively promotes cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian partners in reconstruction.<\/p>\n

During the negotiations, representatives of more than ten Italian engineering companies demonstrated a high level of interest in cooperating with Ukraine and participating in future reconstruction projects. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation in infrastructure, engineering, design, and project management. Italian companies expressed their readiness to join Ukraine\u2019s recovery process by offering their experience, expertise, and modern engineering solutions.<\/p>\n

Special attention was paid to the role of professional engineering communities in preparing high-quality projects, attracting international experience, and building sustainable partnerships between Ukrainian and Italian companies. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to explore the possibility of holding \u201cDays of Italian Engineers\u201d in Ukraine, organized by ICEG with the participation of Italian partners.<\/p>\n

Such format will be a practical platform for presenting the capabilities of Italian engineering companies, exchanging experience with Ukrainian specialists, establishing direct professional contacts, and discussing specific areas of cooperation in reconstruction projects.<\/p>\n

During the conference, there was Also a meeting with Tommaso Foti, Italian Minister for European Affairs, National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and Cohesion Policy. The conversation focused on the importance of strengthening Ukrainian-Italian cooperation in the field of recovery, engaging professional engineering potential, and developing partnerships aimed at the practical implementation of projects.<\/p>\n

For ICEG, participation in such meetings is an important part of its work on integrating the Ukrainian engineering and consulting community into the European professional space. Rebuilding of Ukraine requires not only funding, but also high-quality project preparation, professional management, transparent procedures, and effective coordination between contracting authorities, engineers, consultants, businesses, and international partners.<\/p>\n

ICEG continues to work on expanding international partnerships and engaging best European practices into the processes of Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction.<\/p>\n
