One of the key areas in this work is strengthening the capacity of local self-government bodies to plan, prepare, and implement investment projects.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the <strong>Association of Ukrainian Cities<\/strong> has launched a series of training events on the resilience plans development for representatives of communities. The presented recommendations cover the entire process from risk assessment to the preparation of practical solutions at the local level.<\/p>\n<p>Another step towards this goal was the <strong>second information session<\/strong> for communities planning to join the partnership under the <strong>\u201cRecovery at the local level\u201d<\/strong> program. The program is aimed at communities that already have experience of working with international partners and seek to develop their own recovery projects. The participation applications can be submitted until <strong>July 24<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, in cooperation with the Association of Ukrainian Cities, held a professional webinar for representatives of territorial communities on <strong>July 6<\/strong>. The participants examined practical aspects of the client service\u2019s operations, risk management, engagement of consulting engineers, and project support \u2014 from the initial preparation to the delivery. Particular attention was given to international experience in managing investment projects, the role of the consulting engineer in supporting the client, and practical mechanisms to organize the project implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild notes that interaction between professional non-governmental organizations and associations of local self-government bodies plays an important role in this process. The cooperation between ICEG as a professional NGO and the Association of Ukrainian Cities as an association of territorial communities, allows not only sharing the professional knowledge with communities but also improving the quality of the processes themselves, covering the entire process from planning and risk assessment to project implementation management.
