{"id":5757,"date":"2022-06-08T23:59:36","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T20:59:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iceg.com.ua\/en\/?p=5757"},"modified":"2023-11-24T21:31:48","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T19:31:48","slug":"ministry-of-youth-and-sport-account-to-raise-funds-for-recovering-sports-infrastructure-under-united24-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iceg.com.ua\/en\/news-en\/ministry-of-youth-and-sport-account-to-raise-funds-for-recovering-sports-infrastructure-under-united24-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Youth and Sport account to raise funds for recovering sports infrastructure under UNITED24 initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 7, 2022, the Government passed Decree <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/655-2022-%D0%BF#Text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No. 655\u00a0<\/a>\u201cOn approving the procedure of using funds from the account to satisfy needs of physical culture and sport and amending the Cabinet of Ministers Decree <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/472-2022-%D0%BF#Text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No. 472<\/a> of April 19, 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mms.gov.ua\/news\/vadim-gutcajt-minmolodsportu-vidkrivaye-specialnij-rahunok-v-nbu-dlya-zboru-koshtiv-na-vidnovlennya-zrujnovanoyi-sportivnoyi-infrastrukturi-v-ramkah-iniciativi-prezidenta-united24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">informed<\/a>\u00a0by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, 92 sports facilities have been currently damaged and\/or destroyed in the aftermath of hostilities and shellings. Those include unique facilities such as <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/pavlokyrylenko_donoda\/3543\">bicycle complex in Lyman<\/a>\u00a0with the only in Ukraine special BMX track.<\/p>\n<p>The funds transferred to the Ministry\u2019s account as charity donations, humanitarian aid, grants, and gifts will be aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reconstruction of sports facilities, institutions, and organizations in the physical culture and sports sector, which suffered after hostilities, namely, performing repair and constructions works;<\/li>\n<li>development of governmental and communal sports facilities, public institutions in the authority of the Ministry, organizations in the sports sector, in particular, building new ones and reconstructing and rehabilitating the existing ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The funds are obtained by military administrations, executive authorities in village, district and city councils, state-owned facilities to be recovered and developed.<\/p>\n<p>The Procedure also determines how proposals are accepted and how facilities are put on the list and prioritized.<\/p>\n<p>Under the martial law, public procurements are carried out pursuant to the Cabinet of Ministers Decree\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/169-2022-%D0%BF#Text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No. 169 of Feb. 28, 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Noteworthily, the <a href=\"https:\/\/u24.gov.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNITED24<\/a>\u00a0fundraising platform to support Ukraine is working in three directions: defense and demining, medical aid, and recovery of Ukraine. As of today, the platform collected over USD 51 million.
