ICEG presents joint construction project management lab to KNUCA students

May 11, 2026

On May 7, Yevhenii Vladimirov, Executive Director of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, took part in the KNUCA Expo 2026 Employers’ Forum that was held at the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.

During the event, students and representatives of the professional community were presented with the joint Smart Contract Hub KNUCA lab established by KNUCA and ICEG on the basis of the Construction Economics Department.

The lab will serve as a platform for the practical training of students in construction project management, contract administration, pricing, BIM technologies, risk management, and digitalization of construction.

As a matter of fact, it is an attempt to combine education, science, and hands-on practice in the construction industry.

“The cooperation involves integration of modern approaches to contract management, FIDIC contract forms, digital tools, and cost and resource management practices. That is why it is so important today to create an environment where future engineers, economists, and construction project managers learn to work the way the modern engineering market has long operated worldwide,” said Yevhenii Vladimirov.

The construction industry is currently changing much faster than educational approaches. It is this kind of collaboration between practitioners and academics that shortens the gap between the real market and the management of complex construction projects.

After all, reconstruction will need not only builders, but also specialists capable of working with complex processes, responsibility, costing, and project management using modern international approaches.
