On June 7, 2022, the Government passed Decree No. 655 “On approving the procedure of using funds from the account to satisfy needs of physical culture and sport and amending the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 472 of April 19, 2022.”
As informed by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, 92 sports facilities have been currently damaged and/or destroyed in the aftermath of hostilities and shellings. Those include unique facilities such as bicycle complex in Lyman with the only in Ukraine special BMX track.
The funds transferred to the Ministry’s account as charity donations, humanitarian aid, grants, and gifts will be aimed at:
The funds are obtained by military administrations, executive authorities in village, district and city councils, state-owned facilities to be recovered and developed.
The Procedure also determines how proposals are accepted and how facilities are put on the list and prioritized.
Under the martial law, public procurements are carried out pursuant to the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 169 of Feb. 28, 2022.
