Being the only professional association in this sector, the Ukrainian Association of Road Safety Auditors Non-Governmental Organization (UARSA NGO) is updating general principles of its operations in the new political and socio-economic conditions.
UARSA NGO is a voluntary association of natural persons, which was established to exercise and protect human and civil rights and freedoms and satisfy public, namely, economic, social, cultural, and educational interests of its members and other persons.
The Association’s activities are of social nature, which is expressed in its interaction with government agencies, local self-governance bodies, enterprises, institutions, and organizations of various property forms. UARSA has established partnerships with other non-governmental organizations, movements, and foundations registered in Ukraine or abroad, as well as Ukrainian nationals, foreigners, and/or stateless people.
Inter alia, the Association aims at enhancing the prestige of professions in this field, introducing self-regulation principles in the road safety sector, improving the regulations, norms, and other acts.
As the road safety audit and road safety inspection were introduced in Ukraine in compliance with Law No. 200-ІХ of October 17, 2019 passed to implement Directive 2008/96/EU “On road infrastructure safety management” and also new challenges in road construction under the martial law, UARSA has intensified its operations.
On August 20, the general assembly passed a decision that approved a revised Charter of the Association and updated its managing board. The necessary amendments were made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Sole Proprietors, and Non-Governmental Formations.
