Under the martial law, the consulting engineers involved in surveying damaged buildings and structures are facing not only personal hardships but also new professional challenges.
One of the current priorities is protection of population and combating potential chemical hazards.
Here we publish reference information to be used by consulting engineers and other construction sector specialists concerning an algorithm of primary actions including emergency zoning, decontamination measures, and identifying potential threats on the spot of emergency situation.
Chemical Safety Manual for First Responders, developed by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine within the project Strengthening Chemical Safety and Security in Ukraine, can be downloaded here.
