The Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild presented its activities and told about challenges and risks in the national market of engineering consulting services during the war in a conference with the federal council of the German Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI) – the largest European national association in this industry.

VBI was represented by president Jörg Thiele and vice presidents Peter Warnecke and Jörgen Kopper. It expressed support to the Ukrainian engineering community in this tough time.

The participants discussed the needs, opportunities, and format of information and methodic cooperation for surveying the facilities damaged or destroyed after hostilities and their further reconstruction.

It is worth noting that today the problem of Russo-Ukrainian war is on the agenda of not only governments of European countries and international intergovernmental organizations but also such professional associations of market participants as VBI.

E.g., next Wednesday, VBI holds an informative online workshop “Influence of the Ukraine war on design and construction contracts,” which suggests discussing the consequences of military operations for ongoing contracts and contracts to be concluded as well as impact on planning the contractual relations in construction in general.
