We are living through one of the most difficult periods in our modern history. This is a time of losses and trials, a time of pain but at the same time, a time of great inner strength. Now, more than ever before, we should demonstrate it through unity, mutual support, and daily good deeds. These are what holds us together and give faith to every person in the war-stricken country.
They say that God has no other hands but ours. And using them, He works miracles where it seems there is no longer room for them. With the hands of our service men and women, He defends our country, repelling the enemy. With the hands of volunteers, doctors, engineers, and builders, He saves lives, restores what has been destroyed, and brings life back to places where it was attempted to be eradicated.
Faith is not only love for one’s neighbor, it is also responsibility for action. For every signature, for every built or restored facility.
Reconstruction is not just emotion and faith. Above all, it is complex professional work.
We need to build new bridges and roads, theaters and museums, hospitals and schools. Our destroyed cities and villages will once again become places where people will want to live, work, and create. It is precisely the point where professionalism becomes a form of service to the country.
In these bright Christmas days, I want to congratulate you on the holiday. May the coming year bring Ukraine Victory and Peace, and warmth and comfort to your homes. May your loved ones return safe and sound from distant roads and from the front lines. And may each of us have enough strength, wisdom, and faith to continue doing our work with honor and dignity.
Christ is born! Glory to Him!
