E-Construction Talks: Quality of Expertise Determines Quality of Restoration

October 4, 2023

The Ukrainian Ministry for Restoration and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, as the developers of the Unified State Electronic System in the Construction Sector (EDESSB), have launched E-construction talks, an open dialogue with representatives of the construction industry. Their objective is to familiarize users with the system and jointly improve it through feedback. According to the Ministry for Restoration, this is the second meeting. The event brought together over 150 representatives of expert organizations and was dedicated to the main issues in construction expertise (project design verification). The video recording is available here.

The topic under discussion becomes especially relevant in the light of the revival in construction despite the war – for the year 2023, design verification expert companies have issued about 19,000 reports.

The main task of the Ministry for Restoration, as stated in the message, is to ensure the system is efficient and user-friendly by adding functionality and automation to ensure transparency of all construction processes.

For reference:

The Unified State Electronic System in the Construction Sector was created in cooperation with the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation with the support of the USAID / UK aid project “Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services / TAPAS”. The first meeting within the framework of E-Construction Talks – with architects and designers – users of the Unified State Electronic System in the Construction Sector – took place at the end of August 2023.
