The European Professional Card is an electronic document that:

• certifies professional qualification of a person in compliance with the EU requirements;
• allows providing the services in an EU member country or working there on a permanent basis;
• simplifies the procedure of recognizing the qualification and accessing the labor market;
• encourages mobility of experts within the European Union and European Economic Area (EEA);

According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, our country is preparing to introduce the European Professional Card as a respective governmental Action Plan has been approved.

The requirements giving access to regulated professions differ from country to country. Implementing the European Professional Card and functioning of a system of professional qualifications mutual recognition in Ukraine will ensure application of harmonized and aligned mechanisms to implement Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications and Directive (EU) 2018/958 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 June 2018 on a proportionality test before adoption of new regulation of professions.
