Today, deliverables of the  Fourth Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA4) have been published, which is carried out jointly by the Ukrainian Government, World Bank Group, European Commission, and United Nations Organization.

The assessment covers the period from February 24, 2022 to December 31, 2024. This survey shows that direct damage to Ukraine over this period has reached USD 146 billion (EUR 170 billion). Approximately 13% of the housing stock has been damaged or destroyed, which affected 2.5 million of households. Other most suffered sectors include transport, energy, trade, industry, and education.

About 72% of the total losses are concentrated in the territory of regions most close to the front line as well as Kyiv region.

Realizing the scale of destruction and scopes of future projects for Ukraine recovery, ICEG is working on adopting the best international practices of construction organization. “The domestic building market has to be prepared to work in the framework of relationships familiar to foreign investors and IFIs, where the consulting engineer plays a leading part,” noted Dr. Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, ICEG President.
