Global Community Unites for Ukraine Again during UKRAINIAN INFRASTRUCTURE FORUM

December 8, 2022

Ukrainian Infrastructure Forum, an international event, took place in London on 2 December, 2022 with the official support of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK.

The Ukrainian Infrastructure Forum has been convened to provide an independent platform to bring together all stakeholders – including IFIs (EBRD, International Financial Corporation, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank), multilateral organisations, Ukrainian official bodies, financial institutions, advisors and infrastructure developers and operators – for a timely discussion of the opportunities for the private sector to play a lead role in transforming and rebuilding the country.

Oleksandr Gryban, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, made a report during the event, and expressed confidence in massive inflow of foreign direct investment upon the victory, as well as highlighted great prospects in mobilizing resources of export credit agencies, including for guaranteeing credit risks in financing infrastructure projects.

He presented the investment platform Advantage Ukraine previously launched in September 2022 with the support of the President of Ukraine, which received 400+ requests  from investors from the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, the Republic of Korea and others. Innovation and technology, agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure, industrial production and logistics became the most popular sectors.

The Forum hosted by Strategy Council in December, is a part of 20-year tradition of Ukrainian investment conferences, while the first infrastructure conference dedicated to Ukraine was held ten years ago.
