On August 7, Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild and National Association of Designers and Engineers ZOPI (Warsaw, Poland) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction. The documents was signed by Dr. Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, ICEG President, Anna Oleksiewicz, ZOPI President of ZOPI Board, and Adam Bialachowski, Representative of the ZOPI Board for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

“Poland is our strategic partner. As a leading public association of engineering companies, ZOPI has long been working on improving the European standards and applying best global approaches in the industry. I am proud that we have launched a joint initiative that reveals new prospects for our cooperation,” Dr. Nepomnyashchyy pointed out.

The parties are going to join their efforts, capacities, and resources to cooperate in the field of engineering consultancy aiming at achieving international quality standards, spreading the practice of engaging the consulting engineer as a key player in construction, studying and sharing the best project management practices, introducing the traditions and recommendations of international national associations of the engineering community representatives, and creating the conditions to attract investments including funds from international financial organizations and foreign partners.

“We are eager to act everywhere where a designer and engineer is needed or may be needed, i.e. we are interested in the nuclear energy sector, matters related to Ukraine recovery, as well as implementation of such pivotal investment projects as Centralny Port Komunikacyjny. We want to support the companies operating on the Polish market in their efforts to implement important projects,” noted Ms. Oleksiewicz.

Having signed the Memorandum, both organizations have begun working on drafting the plans to deliver joint projects. This partnership will facilitate the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and Polish experts and will help fulfill the initiatives targeted at reconstruction of the infrastructure and development of the engineering support network in Ukraine.
