M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Public Union “Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild” signed a cooperation agreement on October 23 during the Institute’s Scientific Board’s session.

“This document launches a new phase in developing the bilateral interaction targeted at improving the professional and scientific self-government in Ukraine in view of the European integration,” says the Institute’s website.

The Agreement goes about fostering the partnership between the scientific community and engineering and building milieu.

As part of the deal, the parties shall focus their efforts on the following:

• enhancing the efficiency of professional and pedagogical training and building up the skills of future specialists;
• facilitating the attraction of investments and donors’ aid to implement construction projects and Ukraine recovery programs;
• risk assessment in construction industry and in engagement of consulting engineers for efficient delivery pf infrastructure projects;
• improving the construction sector’s transparency and preventing corruption through involving institutes of civil society in oversight of project implementation.

The cooperation will be fulfilled by means of joint scientific and practical conferences, workshops, roundtables, and internships, as well as preparation of guidance materials meant to perfect professional competence of specialists.
