The tragedy of the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine, which suffered a Russian terrorist attack, turned heads.
From the very first minutes after the missile strike, consulting engineers who are involved in current and completed hospital projects have been carrying out work on the territory of the OHMATDYT Hospital.
Together with the relevant services and concerned locals, they dismantled the rubble, helped with other emergency rescue operations.
Currently, our experts are involved in the damage assessment, inspection of the technical condition and preparation for the reconstruction of the destroyed buildings.
In the new building, built only recently, 12 departments were damaged, including 8 surgical, 5 oncological, two intensive care units, an operating unit, a radiology and radiation therapy department. The country’s only oncology and hematology laboratory was also damaged, according to the hospital press office.
OHMATDYT National Children’s Specialized Hospital, a multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment facility that provides specialized highly qualified medical care, is a long-term partner of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild.
