Korea Engineering and Consulting Association (KENCA) and Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild (ICEG) have signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding reaffirming a strategic partnership between Korean and Ukrainian engineering consulting organizations.

The document renews and updates the agreement concluded on December 6, 2012 in Seoul and reflects new challenges and opportunities arising the Ukrainian engineering community is facing during rebuilding of our country.

The purpose of the renewed MoU is to expand the cooperation between KENCA  and ICEG, develop professional communications, share experience and knowledge, and create conditions for consulting engineers from both countries to participate in joint projects.

Key areas of collaboration include:

• exchange of information and best practices in engineering consulting;
• joint participation in international infrastructure and construction projects;
• support the initiatives of FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers);
• promote enhancement of professional, ethical, and quality standards of consultant engineers’ activities;
• broadening the interaction between member companies through training programs, workshops, and joint events.

The MoU was executed remotely in electronic format by Hae-Kyoung Lee, KENCA Chairman, and Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, ICEG President.

Signing this MoU has marked a significant step in fostering ICEG’s international partnerships that facilitates sharing state-of-the-art technologies, attracting investments, and forming new quality standards in the implementation of Ukraine recovery projects.
