The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine is introducing mandatory minimal standards of remuneration in construction. According to the decree passed by the government, the design documentation must include wages that cannot be lower than the level set by the sectoral agreement. Currently, it is about UAH 22 thousand. For territories bordering on the ongoing hostilities areas multiplying factors are envisaged.

An important innovation is that the declared wages must be not only declared but also actually paid. In case of nonpayment, the corresponding scope of work is not subject to certification. During the meeting of leadership, members, and partners of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, Nataliia Kozlovska, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, said that the Cabinet’s decree will be published soon.
