Ministry of Infrastructure to strengthen cooperation with Danish partners

Denmark and Ukraine launched energy security cooperation 10 years ago. Today, this cooperation is crucial as never before. The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development hosted a meeting with Lars Aagaard, Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, where they signed an MoU with the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure, Danish Ministry for Climate, Energy and Utilities, State University of Information and Communication Technologies, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The parties agreed to implement joint education and research projects, organize studies and internship of Ukrainian students in Denmark, and continue the cooperation in energy efficiency and biogas production and export sectors.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, pointed out that our state highly appreciates collaboration with a global leader in energy efficiency sector and reminded how important it is to build up our capacities in this field in view of the Russian attacks on our energy facilities.

Mr. Kubrakov embraced launching the intergovernmental cooperation and expressed hope that further partnership will enhance the quality of education and professional training of students and integration of would-be experts in the European community.

To engage Denmark in restoring the energy sector, the Danish governmental team were also advised on the current state of play as well as challenges and needs of Ukraine to protect its critical energy infrastructure.
