New industrial parks in the regions: a glance through the lens of engineering

January 5, 2026

Two new industrial parks, Fursy and Misto Diy (“City of Actions”) are planned to be established in Kyiv and Lviv regions. This means development of local economy, creation of new jobs, and formation of modern industrial infrastructure built to last.

Such projects are essential to the building and engineering community primarily because it is engineering solutions and quality construction that define this space for people – safe, comfortable, and reliable in everyday work.

We have touched upon the role of consulting engineers in establishing the industrial parks before (read more). Today, these examples once again confirm that a professional approach is needed in every stage of project implementation, from planning to commissioning.

Fursy Industrial Park will be located in Bilotserkivskyi district, Kyiv region. Its area exceeds 11 ha and the number of jobs can be up to 500. The park is planned to host manufacturing, machine building, electrical engineering, food processing industry, and information technologies.

Misto Diy Industrial Park will be set up in Drohobych, Lviv region. With the area over 21 ha, it will have close 550 jobs. Its sectors include building material production, wood processing, machine building electronics, food processing, and alternative energy generation.

Each project of the kind is preceded by extensive preparatory work, including well-thought area planning, utility networks, compliance with construction norms and standards. Engineering solutions form the foundation on which industrial parks can work steadily for decades.

It is not just a piece of news for the engineering community. It is a reminder of the profession’s role and responsibility it bears before the society. Industrial parks are not only manufacturing platforms but also a space of daily work, decision-making, and trust. This is what the value of the engineer’s work is about – to create a strong basis for development without loud statements but with deliverables to last for years to come.
