NEWS FROM OUR PARTNERS: B-Act joining the actions to eliminate consequences of hydropower disaster in Ukraine

May 1, 2025

A Polish engineering consultancy B-Act has signed engineering consulting service agreements for three pivotal investment projects linked to eliminating the consequences of the hydropower plant dam destruction in Nova Kakhovka.

The company is going to work on supporting the construction of water intake from the Sothern Bug River in Nova Odesa (Mykolaiv Region) and water pipeline for Mykolaiv. The pipeline will consist of three sections totaling to 67.8 km.

“From the civil construction viewpoint, the contracts are of strategic nature. The project in Mykolaiv is of existential value to the city which has had no access to water from the water supply plant for 3 years,” said Adam Białachowski, Chairman of the Board, B-Act.

“The network is being built outside municipalities or along their boundaries to preserve the existing infrastructure and complete the work faster and more efficiently, without causing unnecessary inconvenience for local residents,” added Yurii Sereda, Director of B-Act Representative Office in Ukraine.

A unique nature of this project is defined by a tight schedule, Design-Build approach, and a need for close cooperation with other construction stakeholders. It is this kind of projects that make the most of employing a consulting engineer, which is an economic operator that has certified experts on the staff and carries out project management at all stages of its implementation.

More details about this project can be found here.
