During the Russian invasion, a demarcation line lied in Posad-Pokrovske. As a result of the aggression, every house in the village – 940 buildings in total – suffered damage with 80% of building destroyed and requiring new construction and 20% subject to rehabilitation.

On March 7, 2025, the Ukrainian Government allocated UAH 5.2 billion for a comprehensive restoration of five settlements including Posad-Pokrovske Village in Kherson Region. They are planning to “build back better,” meaning a comprehensive approach to upgrading the infrastructure and improving the lives of people.

ICG experts are currently engaged in supervision of the destroyed housing reconstruction.
