As part of our discussion club called “Topicalities of development of engineering consulting services market in construction,” the participants identified main opportunities, risks, and prospects of using international contracts. Two online events have been held so far, where ICEG got together experts and practitioners from the sector to discuss key trends and challenges.

Speaker Tetiana Tsyfra presented a review of standard contract forms on construction (JCT, NEC, and FIDIC) and reported in detail on the golden principles of FIDIC that constitute a fundamental basis of international contracts and define uniform standards of interaction in construction projects.

In his turn, Oleh Vasenov shared his experience of preparing reports and related specialties.

The event’s participants emphasized prospects and opportunities for Ukraine if international contract forms are widely used, especially in the context of reconstruction.

ICEG intends to continue holding the discussion club meetings aiming to develop and enhance the level of engineering consulting services in Ukraine.
