The large-scale destruction resulting from Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine creates a need for a long-term, comprehensive, and highly qualified recovery process in our state.
Limited resources of the state budget, combined with the necessity to restore fixed assets at a modern technical level, require attracting foreign investment and delivering engineering services with the involvement of specialists possessing up-to-date skills in high-tech construction.
On February 16, ICEG representatives had a video conference with the ASSOCIATION FOR CONSULTANCY AND ENGINEERING (United Kingdom).
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss application of the experience gained by our British partners at the national level in Ukraine. During the conference, issues related to evaluating the quality, performance, and efficiency of consulting engineer services were reviewed, as well as the main approaches to pricing the engineering consulting services.
The topic under discussion requires sustained cooperation, so it was decided to continue the exchange of information. The national FIDIC association in the United Kingdom is not the only organization we have reached out for informational assistance on these matters.
ICEG President Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy expressed gratitude to the national FIDIC associations in France, Greece, Germany, Lithuania, Australia, and Finland for providing substantial and insightful information. “We are processing the received information together with representatives of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture,” he added.
