On May 31, 2023, EFCA International annual conference was successfully held in Rome, one of the main focuses of which, along with digitalization, BIM and the challenges for the engineering industry, was the joining of efforts for the future recovery of Ukraine.

In particular, a brilliantly organized panel moderated by Alfredo Ingletti (OICE Vice President), resulted in a fruitful discussion on EU-funded actions to support Ukraine with Gabriel Blanc, European Commission’s Directorate General for Neighborhood Affairs and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), Team Leader for Reconstruction (Directorate E1 – Ukraine Service). Also, one of the main theses in the speech of Anna Jarosz-Friis, DG NEAR, Acting Director (Directorate E – Ukraine Service), was the need to actively carry out restoration now.

Among other keynote messages of the panel dedicated to Ukraine were also address of Oleksandra Azarkhina, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine and the speech of Bakhtiyar Khodjaev, ICEG Vice President.
