According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the Government will allocate an additional UAH 9.3 billion for 13 regions for the rapid recovery programme. According to the Prime Minister, these funds will be directed towards repairing buildings, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure facilities.
“One of the priorities of the Government’s work is to create conditions for as many Ukrainians as possible to return from abroad. To achieve this, we continue the rapid reconstruction program. Today we allocate an additional 9.3 billion hryvnias for 13 regions,” the Prime Minister said.
Denys Shmyhal believes that the issue of Ukrainians’ return is not a matter of administrative measures but only incentives. This includes rapid infrastructure reconstruction, increased security levels, improved living conditions, and expanding opportunities for self-realization. In this context, the Government also continues European reforms. The Prime Minister emphasized that the impulse of European integration should remain as high as it has been in the past two years.
“We expect that this month the European Commission will approve the negotiation framework with Ukraine. This is one of the key steps to start the process of negotiations on our accession to the EU,” said Denys Shmyhal.
