EFCA GAM & Conference 2024, annual conference of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations, has come to an end. This year it was held on May 23-24 in Madrid, Spain and was attended by ICEG delegation.

An important event on the second day of the Conference was the General Assembly Meeting. EFCA has announced the appointment of a few leading professionals to its Board of Directors, the management body of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations. We congratulate Roberto Carpaneto, Independent Senior Engineering Management Consultant and member of OICE Board (Italy) on appointment as EFCA Vice President. ICEG and OICE (Italian  Association  of  Engineering,  Architecture  and  Technical‐Economic  Consultancy  Organisations) have been into an effective cooperation.

The Future Leaders Day is another event as part of the Conference, which gathered promising actors and best ideas. Inter alia, they also discussed issues of introducing BIM technologies.

ICEG delegation worked in panel sessions that covered important topics of energy infrastructure, climate impact management and best practices in procurement. It has a range of constructive persona and multilateral meetings. Thus, facilitated by Joan Franco Poblet, President of TECNIBERIA, the Spanish Association of Engineering, Consulting and Technology Services Companies and attended by Elizabeth Molina Ixta, Senior head of Institutional Relations and Business Development, there was a meeting with Ukraine support taskforce members including representatives of such leading companies as TYPSA, TPF INGENIERÍA, FHECOR, INCATUK, AYESA and ACCIONA).

As we previously reported, during the conference, ICEG and Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia (ACES) signed the Memorandum of Understanding aimed at facilitating fair and effective dispute resolution in the field of engineering consulting.
