ICEG: Expanding the Horizons for Cooperation with Israel

On 23 November, 2022, with the assistance of Svitlana Novak, Trade and Economic Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy, ICEG President held a business meeting with Dr. Alex Brodsky, PhD, head of Structures under Extreme Loads Lab at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at one of the leading technical universities in Israel,  Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. During the meeting, which also included a visit to the university campus, classrooms, and technical laboratories, the parties discussed potential opportunities for cooperation between the Israeli university, Ukrainian higher education institutions and ICEG. As Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy noted, one of the most promising and relevant areas of cooperation is the participation of Israeli researchers and experts in technical councils with Ukrainian colleagues regarding damaged and destroyed facilities in Ukraine in order to make structural engineering decisions regarding the restoration of the specified works. The agenda also included a discussion of the possibility of involving university researchers in the work of a scientific and technical consortium with the participation of Ukrainian partners.
