Yevhenii Vladimirov, Executive Director of the Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild, took part in a meeting of the FIEC-EIC Task Force “Ukraine.” This task force includes representatives of the European construction sector, engineering community, and professional organizations and focuses on Ukraine’s reconstruction and integration in the European market.

In the beginning, Janis Aizsalnieks, representative of the European Commission, provided updates on the Ukraine’s EU accession and integration in the Single Market, particularly in the context of recovery and development of the construction industry.

In his address, Mr. Vladimirov presented ICEG’s vision of the current status, challenges and opportunities the European integration offers in terms of the engineering consulting. Namely, harmonization of the domestic market with European standards, digital transformation, development of professional competencies, integration of Ukrainian specialists in the European professional community, and a leading role of the consulting engineer in the reconstruction process.

He drew special attention to the fact that even during the war, the Ukrainian engineering sector continues working to the fullest, adjusting and accumulating a unique hands-on experience in rapid restoration of infrastructure, resilience engineering, and protection of critical infrastructure facilities.

The discussion participants talked about the ongoing initiatives and practical steps being taken by Ukrainian and European professional communities to support the integration processes. Within this panel, Oleksandr Chervak, CEO of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, presented CBU’s initiatives aimed at training the staff for the construction industry and spoke about the preparation for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026.

ICEG’s participation in such international professional platforms is an essential component of a systematic work to introduce the Ukrainian engineering community at the European level and expand the cooperation with international partners in the field of engineering consulting.
