The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine reported about signing a new USD 400 million Grant Agreement with Japan for the recovery of critical infrastructure through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The Agreement is a part of the Programme for Emergency Recovery. The respective Press release was also published on JICA website.

The Agreement covers equipment for Humanitarian Mine Action, Education and Health, Water Supply, Transport, Energy, Destruction Waste Management, Municipal Facilities, etc.

“I would like to express gratitude to the Government of Japan for the continuous assistance to Ukraine. It is already the second grant agreement signed with JICA. Such support allows us to quickly and efficiently implement projects for rapid and humanitarian recovery. First of all, it is about ensuring the basic needs of our citizens and restoring critical infrastructure,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
