The Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild (ICEG) is fostering the initiative that united governments, businesses, and international organizations at ReBuild Ukraine International Exhibition and Conference in Warsaw. This significant event became an important venue to discuss ways of post-war recovery of Ukraine and investment attraction.

The event was attended by over 5.5 thousand representatives from 32 countries. The conference gathered together the Ukrainian local self-government authorities that presented their projects as well as large European investors ready to contribute to the reconstruction. There was also held the European Union – Ukraine Investment Conference aimed at attracting the private capital to rebuild, upgrade, and reconstruct our country.

Key concepts of the conference:
Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis Group, emphasized that it was important for Ukraine to step away from the “the lowest price wins” principle in procurements:

“This approach distances Ukraine from the quality needed to implement the EU standards. When selecting companies in competitive tenders, it is worth considering quality and compliance with European standards. I am also concerned whether Ukraine can ensure realization of ambitious plans due to shortage of qualified labor,” said Germain.

ICEG is vigorously supporting modernization of the Ukrainian infrastructure under European standards. Our partners’ involvement in similar initiatives allows integrating the best practices of European consulting engineering in Ukrainian projects. Due to joint efforts with international partners, we promote creating the condition for a sustainable development and long-term investments. Owing to this cooperation, Ukraine is not only addressing the war effects but os also paving the way for a sustainable economic development.
