January 23, 2026

Ukrainian communities will receive another funding package to implements 119 projects for social and critical infrastructure recovery. The amount of funds totals to UAH 740.3 m. The funding is provided with the support of the European Investment Bank as part of Ukraine Recovery III.

The funds will be used to realize projects in 21 regions that underwent severe destruction caused by the war of aggression. Top priorities include restoration of healthcare facilities, water supply and sewerage, and project aimed at improving energy resilience in communities.

The projects were selected with an open competition mechanism in the DREAM system, which meets requirements of the international financial institutions for transparency, accountability, and quality of design documents preparation. This very approach allows effective combination of public resources with international financial support.

What is most essential to international partners is the quality of technical solutions and level of project management. EIB and other donors’ practice demonstrates that the projects prepared considering professional technical expertise and risk management have higher chances for financing and successful delivery.

During the large-scale reconstruction, it is the professional approach to the infrastructure project preparation and implementation that is a key to the communities’ sustainability and trust of international partners.
