Round table «Polish experience on collaboration with FIDIC»

On August 5 in the main office of Public Union “Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild” (ICEG) was held an announced round table on experience of implementation of FIDIC standards in Poland.

The round table was attended by representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry for Regional Development, Building and Housing of Ukraine, Ukrainian and foreign experts of construction industry, self-regulatory organizations in the field of architecture.

Particular interest for the participants of the round table were follows issues:

• the issue of differences in understanding of Ukraine established “technical oversight” and functions of consulting engineer contracted FIDIC ;
• advisability and necessity of amending the legislation to effective implementation of FIDIC contracts;
• mechanisms of pretrial disputes of participants of investment activity, etc.

Press release of the round table of ICEG on August 5, 2016 was posted on the website of the Ministry for Regional Development, Building and Housing of Ukraine.

ICEG President Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy at end of the event said, that ICEG of today’s roundtable is the first step of systematic communication of industry community of our country with their Polish colleagues, key to this has become the Memorandum of Understanding between “Interstate Consultants Engineers Guild” (“IСEG”) and “Vintage Consulting“. Geographic, economic and mental proximity Ukrainian and Polish peoples significantly contribute to the effective perception of the experience gained by our foreign partners.
