Ukraine will join to the IRENA Statute

 

 According to information of Communication and PR Department of the           State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the relevant draft order of the President of Ukraine on the accession to the Statute of the International Renewable Energy Agency drafted by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine was approved at the Government meeting.

Being the party to the IRENA statute Ukraine will benefit from an opportunity to apply to Abu Dhabi Development Fund to obtain preferential loans. Today the Fund has issued loans in the amount of 98 million USD for 11 projects.

Joining the Statute, Ukraine shall obtain access to information on the use of renewable energy sources, the results of the latest research and best practices.

Ukraine will also have access to the information available to IRENA, including the progressive financing mechanisms for renewable energy development.

Ukraine’s participation in IRENA is an opportunity to get necessary policy advice and to cooperate with developed countries for further development of the renewable energy.
