IGEC delegation visited Lithuania

The ICEG delegation headed by the Member of the Guild Board Oleksandr Nepomnyashchyy visited Lithuania with a business visit on May 12-14, 2016.

During the visit, IGEC representatives met with representatives of Lithuanian Association of Consulting Companies and representative of Kelprojektas, a member these Associations.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere in the office in Vilnius. The Ukrainian delegation was met by a Deputy of CEO, Technical Director of Kelprojektas Arvidas Sibirka, and Managing Director Gintare Zorskaite.

During the negotiations, parties agreed on further cooperation, exchange of information on the Association and ICEG activities, exchange of experience on strengthen the role of FIDIC rules in investment projects in Ukraine, Lithuania and other countries, implementation and enforcement of the FIDIC Code of Ethics, defining the role of consulting engineer in the legislation of our country, representation the interests of members associations etc.

At the meeting, the IGEC delegation emphasized the necessity of formalizing relations with the Association through the signing a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Lithuanian Association of Consulting Companies was founded in 2003 and it is a national member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). It is a voluntary alliance of the registered in Lithuania engineering/consulting companies, delivering design documentation for the territorial planning and building construction, providing consultancy services, performing the authors’ supervision, assessment of the impact to environment, technical specifications, feasibility studies, project management and other services related to a project implementation, including specialized in one or several engineering or architectural sectors. Promotion and protection of the business and professional interests of engineers/consultants within Lithuania and abroad.
